Across the UK, there are more than a million children and adults who find reading and/or numeracy difficult. Catch Up, a not-for-profit charity, aims to help as many of them as possible.

Catch Up Literacy is our intervention for struggling readers. It is currently being used in more than 4000 schools across the UK and has been implemented in clusters of schools by more than 70 Local Authorities across England and Wales.

Catch Up Numeracy is our intervention for learners who struggle with numeracy. It has been developed from University of Oxford research, has been successfully piloted in 72 schools (in 12 local authorities across England and Wales), and has been recognised as a Wave 3 intervention for learners who struggle with numeracy*.

Catch Up Literacy and Catch Up Numeracy information sessions in Derby

We are holding Introducing Catch Up Literacy and Introducing Catch Up Numeracy sessions in Derby on Monday June 29th 2009. All places are free of charge but must be booked in advance and are on a first-come, first-served basis. Introducing Catch Up Numeracy
Monday 29th June 2009, (3.30pm - 5.00pm)
Landau Forte College, Fox Street, Derby, DE1 2LF

Each session includes information about:
• the intervention • formative assessments • individual teaching sessions • keys to success • management in school (or other setting) • the integrated training and resource package

There is one training package for Catch Up Literacy and one for Catch Up Numeracy, each of which costs £299 per trainee.
The initial (3 half days) Catch Up Literacy training and the initial (3 half days) Catch Up Numeracy training will both be held in Derby on October 20th to 22nd 2009,
at The Derby Conference Centre, London Road, Derby, DE24 8UX.

Catch Up runs Catch Up training at venues across the UK. If you are unable to attend the information sessions or training on the dates given above,
