CATCH UP LITERACY is suitable for all struggling readers (working towards NC Level 1 or above), including:

• Struggling readers who find it difficult to learn in group situations
• Struggling readers who are significantly below the expected National Curriculum Level for their age
• Struggling readers whose Reading Age is significantly below their Chronological Age

As there isn’t an exact correlation between NC Level/Reading Age and suitability
for Catch Up Literacy, the shaded area has a graduated edge.

NB Catch Up Literacy is designed for learners who find reading difficult rather than learners who are beginning to learn to read.
